Welcome
Iris Louise Cox was quite an amazing young woman. She was a daughter, a sister, a granddaughter, an aunt, and a niece. She was an athlete, a singer, a shopper, and a friend. However, most of all, Iris was a unique Individual with a Loving personality and loads of Courage. She was not afraid to try something new or different, or to stand up for what she believed. Iris graduated from Alexander Central High School in June, 2002 and was a student at East Carolina University.
The ILC Memorial Scholarship Foundation was established in April of 2005.  The foundation originated to memorialize Iris who was taken suddenly in an automobile accident.  Through this scholarship, we hope that individuals will have the opportunity to experience life to its fullest as Iris did.
